- What types of photography do you offer?
I specialize in newborn, baby, maternity, cake smash, and family photography, both in-studio and outdoor. Additionally, I offer dreamy childhood photography, capturing soft, enchanting images that evoke a sense of wonder and nostalgia, blending reality with a touch of magic.
- How long does a typical session last?
Session lengths depend on the type of session you choose. I offer both mini and standard sessions, so it’s best to check the details for each individual session when booking.
- When is the best time to book a session?
It’s always best to book in advance, especially for newborn and maternity sessions, to ensure availability.
- Maternity Sessions: It’s best to book your maternity session between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy, so your bump is noticeable but you’re still feeling comfortable.
- Newborn Sessions: Ideally, book your newborn session during pregnancy to ensure availability. Newborns are best photographed within the first two weeks of life, as they are more likely to sleep deeply and stay in those cute curled-up poses.
- Cake Smash Sessions: These sessions are perfect for your baby’s first birthday. It’s best to book a few weeks in advance to ensure a smooth planning process.
- Can I include my partner and children in the photos?
Yes! For maternity, family, and newborn sessions, I welcome your partner and children. These sessions are about capturing your entire family’s love and joy.
- How many people can attend the session?
- Studio Session: I can accommodate up to 6 people in the studio. This includes your little one, siblings, and parents. If you have additional family members or friends who would like to join, please let me know in advance, and I’ll see what I can do to accommodate everyone.
- Outdoor Session: For outdoor sessions, please let me know how many people will be attending so we can choose an appropriate location and plan accordingly.
- Do you provide props or should I bring my own?
I have a selection of props available for newborn, cake smash and dreamy childhood sessions. If you have specific ideas or items you’d like to include, feel free to bring them along!
- How should I prepare for my newborn session?
I’ll send you detailed instructions before the session, but generally, I ask that you bring any special items (e.g., outfits, blankets), keep your baby well-fed and rested, and allow extra time for soothing during the session. If you’re breastfeeding, please be prepared to nurse during the session as needed, or bring formula milk if you’re bottle-feeding.
- Can we do an outdoor session?
Absolutely! I offer outdoor sessions for family and dreamy childhood photos, typically in a location that’s meaningful to you or at a beautiful outdoor setting.
- Is a deposit required to book a session?
Yes, a £30 deposit is required to secure your session date. The remaining balance is due on the day of the session.
- What is the difference between a mini and standard session?
- Mini Sessions: These are shorter sessions with a limited number of setups and a quicker pace.
- Standard Sessions: These are longer sessions, allowing for more setups and a greater variety of photos.
- What are seasonal mini sessions?
Seasonal mini sessions (e.g., Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day) are themed shoots available only at specific times of the year. These are separate from the regular mini and standard sessions and have a unique setup based on the holiday or occasion.
- How do I pay the deposit?
Details on how to pay the deposit will be provided when you book your session. I accept payment via bank transfer or cash. Once the deposit is received, your session will be confirmed.
- What happens if we need to reschedule?
I completely understand that unexpected things can come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. The deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. If you need to reschedule, I’m happy to accommodate up to two reschedules at no extra charge, as long as you notify me at least 48 hours before the session. In cases of illness or injury, or if a family member is unwell, please contact me as soon as possible to arrange a new date. I will do my best to accommodate your request, but after the second reschedule, the original deposit will be lost, and a new deposit will be required for any future bookings.
- When will we receive our photos?
You will receive your fully edited photos within 3-4 weeks after the session.
- Can I order prints or albums from my session?
Yes! After your session, you’ll have the option to purchase prints, albums, and other keepsakes. I’ll guide you through the selection process so you can preserve your memories in the best way possible.
- How many images will I receive from my session?
The number of final images depends on the chosen session type. After the session, you will receive a gallery where you can select the number of images included in your session package. If you’d like to choose more, additional photos can be selected for a fee of £15 per image.
- What if I’m nervous about being in front of the camera?
I totally understand! Many of my clients feel this way at first. Don’t worry—I will guide you through the entire process, and we’ll keep the session fun and relaxed. My goal is to capture your true self!
- Do you offer digital files?
Yes, digital files are included with your session package. You’ll receive a gallery with downloadable, high-resolution images.
- Are there any additional fees?
There are no hidden fees—everything is clearly explained in the offer. If you’d like to order more prints than those included in the offer, I charge £15 per additional photo. If the session location is more than 10 miles from my studio, a travel charge may apply at £0.4 per mile beyond 10 miles.
- Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, I offer gift vouchers for sessions, which make a perfect gift for expectant parents, families, or anyone wanting to capture special memories.
- Do you have a studio or do you do outdoor sessions?
I have a home-based studio for indoor sessions, and I also offer outdoor sessions for a more natural setting. For dreamy childhood photoshoots, I can suggest a location that fits the mood, or we can arrange something at your home for a more personal touch.
